(01) The short answer
Yes. Cortexley builds custom websites, web applications and Shopify stores for UK companies, with a fixed price in pounds sterling agreed before any work starts.
Our team works from Pakistan, four hours ahead of the UK in summer and five in winter, so our working day covers your morning. Projects run remotely with a weekly call and a staging link you can open from the first week. Zam Legal Associates, a UK immigration law firm, is one of the UK businesses we have built for.
(02) What we build
Credible sites that turn visitors into enquiries, with a CMS your team can edit. From £1,200.
Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, custom themes and migrations. From £2,000.
Client portals, dashboards and internal tools built around how you work. From £5,000.
POS, CRM and ERP modules shaped around your operations. From £6,000.
Updates, fixes and improvements from the team that built your site.
(03) Built for the market
Under UK GDPR and PECR, non-essential cookies such as advertising pixels need consent before they load. We wire consent into the tag setup so tags respect the visitor's choice, and keep forms collecting only the data you need.
The Equality Act 2010 expects services, websites included, to make reasonable adjustments for disabled users, and public-sector sites must meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We build to that level by default. This site scores 100 for accessibility in Google Lighthouse.
UK companies must show their registered name, company number, place of registration and registered office address on their website. We put them in the footer and legal pages from the start, so you are covered on launch day.
Prices shown including VAT for consumers, VAT invoices generated by Shopify or Stripe, and UK delivery zones and rates set up in checkout rather than added later.
(04) How a project runs
A 30-minute call about what you need, who it is for and what success looks like.
A written scope, a price in pounds and a timeline, agreed before any work starts.
You can open the work in progress from the first week, with a weekly call to review it.
A staged go-live with redirects and checks, then ongoing support if you want it.

(06) Where we work
Projects run remotely, so where you are in the UK doesn't change the process, the price or the timeline: London or Leeds, you get the same team, staging link and weekly call. Our founder holds a software engineering degree from Liverpool John Moores University.
(07) Work you can click

Sales increased 50x following the storefront launch.
An offline-first, multi-industry POS desktop app with eight industry presets, double-entry accounting and 16+ exportable reports.
(08) Questions
With Cortexley, a business website typically costs £1,200–£4,000 and takes 3–6 weeks, a Shopify store £2,000–£7,000, a web application £5,000–£18,000 and custom software £6,000–£25,000. Every project gets a fixed price before work starts; hosting, Shopify plans and paid apps are extra.
Pakistan is four hours ahead of the UK during British Summer Time and five hours ahead in winter, so our working day overlaps your morning. Questions sent before lunch are usually answered the same day, and we agree a weekly call time that suits you.
We build the technical side: consent before non-essential cookies load, secure forms that collect only what you need, and a privacy page ready for your wording. The policy text itself should be checked by someone who knows how your business uses personal data.
Lower overheads mean a lower price for the same senior work. What makes a remote project succeed is the same anywhere: a written fixed-price scope, a staging link you can check at any time and a regular call with the people building it. You get all three.
Yes. We start with an audit of what you have: content, rankings and the pages that bring in enquiries. The new site then keeps your URLs or redirects them, so the search visibility you have built up carries over to the rebuild.
Yes. Our client work so far is for small and growing businesses, such as a UK immigration law firm and independent ecommerce brands. A business website starts at £1,200 and a Shopify store at £2,000, with the price fixed before work starts.
Next.js and React for custom websites and web applications, Laravel or Node.js for back-end logic, WordPress where an editorial team needs it, and Shopify for ecommerce. We choose the stack to fit the project rather than defaulting to one platform.
A short brief: what the site or app must do, who it is for, examples you like, your content and brand assets, and access to your domain and any existing accounts. We help fill the gaps during the free scoping call.
Send a short brief through the contact form or email sales@cortexley.com. We reply with any questions, then send a written proposal with a fixed price in pounds and a timeline.
